Before we took to the road for land trials we did a mini shakedown cruise in Grande Prarie, a few miles from Beaverlodge. Stayed for 2 nights at Wallyworld, bought a few tons of supplies.
We're real RVers now! First breakfast after Wal-docking.

It was trial by fire right out of the gate! 40mph crosswinds as we wound our way to Jasper. Shielded by tree stands, I dreaded the open area ahead with the buffeting wind that would surely blow me into the other lane. And what happened? Nothing! A slight adjustment to the wheel, and carry on! Okay, now I'm impressed. Impeccable road manners. My van/TT combo from years ago would have me white knuckled at this point. I looked under the front end later and found a device that may be a steering stabilizer. I have to confirm this.

The vistas on the way are stunning.

We've arrived! Jasper and the town's mascot.

Boondocking here is a wee bit more picturesque than Walmart, n'est pas?

Our wake-up view every day.
