Hmmm...I guess I lack imagination, as I've never once thought that I should have a cupholder for my cabover bunk. (There is a storage box in roughly the same place, and it's kind of handy for jammies or whatever.) Seems to me like an awful lot of work to climb up with one's cup of coffee just to be able to not quite sit upright to enjoy it.
I guess one could put a TV on the opposite wall and have a sort of mini home theater loft. The tub of popcorn goes in the open compartment, and the drinks in the cupholders.
Anyway, hope you have lots of happy travels and make many great memories.
