I have the wireless setup and it was touchy. I was using it inside my cottage to the motorhome in driveway. Not long distance but too many walls I guess. Went back to good ol coax.
Not only walls, but metal and fiberglass in the motorhome walls. These transmitters say they will go from one room to the next, but anymore than that and you're pushing your luck. My plan would be to try and see how well the transmitter portion works if I put it in the overhead cabinet with the rest of the TV stuff, but I fully expect that I'll probably have to move the transmitted either to the window, or maybe even hang it outside the window. I guess it will depend on how far the TV is away too.
One camping trip on Thanksgiving a while back, we had a group of about 20 RV's in the foothills. We had rented a commercial size tent and had it set up in a campsite. Somebody had brought a 55" TV and the plan was to watch the 49ers game in the tent using the off the air signal. It wasn't until game time that somebody figured out the game wasn't be broadcast on a local station but on the NFL network. We were able to string together about 150' of coax and hooked into my Sat TV system and got to watch the game in the tent. I'm going to guess the HDMI transmitter probably wouldn't have worked that far away.
