I think if you really look at oven use, I bet less than one in ten use them. I'm guessing if your spouse is a gourmet cook, it might be missed. I shy'd away from using the convection oven in ours for years. When I finally started using it, I found it worked well. As a matter of fact, I no longer pull out the BBQ to cook meat.
Ours has two levels of round racks and when I cook chicken, pork chops or steaks, I place one of those BBQ mats (As Seen On TV), cut into a round, on top of the racks and cook my meat. The mat holds in the juices and the meat comes out juicier than I can cook on the BBQ.
Another advantage is not having to light the burner, no bending over or kneeling to use the oven, and everything you cook can be seen through the window at eye level.
If you're a hardcore boondocker, loss of the oven could be an issue.
