overhead bunk ladder suggestions

Was in the Coachmen with the overhead bunk this weekend, full house van. I needed to sleep upstairs. THe ladder I got is one of those cheap aluminum two pole types you see at rv stores, came with the van. It is really tough to store in the van and keep out of the way until needed.

Anyone have a suggestion for a ladder or step stool that folds up real small but extends to about 5 ft or so? I've seen some telescoping types at Costco but not short.

Thanks,

CB
  • I have one that came with my old 'C'. It's just the right height for the upstairs bedroom in a C or a B. It looks like one from CW. It collapses by unhooking a latch on one step, sort of like the latch on a card table. The 2 sides then sort of nest into each other. It makes a package 71' long and 2" square when folded. Mine resides in the side of the bed by the left upper window. When unfolded it's 60" x 12" and has hooks @ the top to hook over the bed rail. works easily and stores nicely. I can't see any brand mark.

  • Check PPL Motorhome's site. I think they have a telescoping ladder that should fill the bill.
