According to a dealer I talked to, that figure is actually 10K, but Winnebago has never corrected it. That was something I forgot to point out previously.
Only way to find out is to look at the receiver. I am in the middle of purchasing a Journey 34B. Although more money I like the floor plan better and the storage area is way better than the Solei. It has the same engine as the Solei 34 but the tranny is a step up in the Journey and that may account for the 10K receiver on the Journey where the Solei is at 5K.
I really like the Journey series. If I were to buy a DP, it would be my first choice. The 40' floorplan is basically the same as the gasser I bought.
