I park on gravel but, why not use something like a cap nail?
Get a small piece of aluminum, put a hole in the center and nail it into the asphalt. Paint it black and it won't stand out.
Set the pot on top of the cap.
If you need the pot to be exactly centered in the circle, scribe a circle into the asphalt and cover it with driveway sealer.
