If you're pouring, think forward... Run some conduit under it for an electrical connection someday, and maybe a waste drop pipe if you're close to a sewer clean out. It's a lot easier to trench and bury lines under a slab before you pour than it is to try and route one after the fact.. Same thing goes for drainage pipes.
