Kiwi abroad, don't sweat the small stuff! It sounds like the B is running well and the problem, while inconvenient, is small. We have a ton of great things to see and do in North America and you can find fantastic weather any time of year. My suggestion is go west for the winter. And don't miss the Redwood trees in northern California and Yosemite too!
