Picking up Soon.

We just bought a Class A. We are picking up in Dallas Texas, coming back to Jupiter Florida.
Need help with travel back as it is just a pickup trip. Where is best/ nicest places to stay. It is a 45 with 3 slides. Really only need 2 stops on way home. Any help would be great.

according to mapquest you go 20-98-10? its only 830 miles so one night would do u I would think. 500 miles first day and balance the next

    UPDATE:
Hahah LMA at myself- I put in juniper instead of Jupiter but even at 1200 miles that is only one nite especially on freeways unless your sightseeing

He's taking delivery of his newly purchased RV in Texas and driving it back to Florida.

As others have said need more information as to route
  • Disney73, you are talking about L O N G drives each day with only 2 nights on the road with a new rig. I estimate your trip to be about 1,234 miles (depending on where you live) in Jupiter.

Anyway, that will be three days of just over 400 miles each with two nights on the road. Obviously you want to make sure everything is in 'tip-top' condition with the coach and tires. You didn't mention if it was new or not (but, that's not your question is it? LOL).

Google Maps is showing two routes, one route swings towards a southern route.

There is a nice park in Brandon, MS, called 'Timberlake Campground' that is showing a 7.7 'GOOD' rating on 'rvparkreviews.com'. I use that site for every RV park search. It is mentioned that it is Big Rig friendly. This park will be 414 miles from Dallas.

Next, your final stop before Jupiter, might be Tallahassee RV Park. We stayed at this park once a few months ago and I found it quite nice. There are a lot of trees for shade but will accommodate a large rig, the sites are pull-through.

So, you will be making long driving days but those two locations will balance you out to just over 400 miles per day.

    Good luck and safe travels!

    Congrats on the new rig!

  • If you gave us a hint on the route, maybe we could help. I-20 to Shreveport, then I-49 to I-10?

Stayed at a KOA in Shreveport that was OK, but that's on;y a couple of hundred miles.
