First of all, I want to say that you Nevadastar are getting great advise from everyone. I did want to add that I believe your handling issue is caused by a multitude of influential factors. Implemented individually, everything recommended will improve handling by some amount. All together, they could resolve your troubles. But I will say that with only 12,000 miles on the odometer, I would find it easy to rule out worn ball joints and other parts.
A few things I will suggest might have been previously mentioned but I just missed it.
- Fresh water sloshing side-to-side in the tank. Try traveling fresh and dirty water-free and see if it makes a difference.
- Replace front & rear stabilizer bars with heavy duty bars.
- Add a rear trac bar to stabilize the rear end from wagging like a dog's tail
- Replace your steering stabilizer with a heavy duty version.
When brand new, our 2007 E350 Phoenix Cruiser was tiring to drive until I upgraded the mentioned parts. It's been 8 years steady-as-she-goes since, easy to hold the steering wheel with just a few fingers on one hand. Before it was two hands firm on the wheel and sometimes my heart skipping a beat.
BTW: Like Nevadastar, we tow a Liberty as shown.
