My e450 also has the same play in the steering wheel, but it is when standing still and engine off. When driving, there is no play. I think that this is different than having issues with a motorhome tracking true when driving and has nothing to do with caster or alignment. I believe there is an adjustment you can make to the steering box to eliminate most of the play, but I could be wrong.
