By the way, the 1998 Dutch Star is still on my list. The dealer never called me back after I provided him the list of all the broken stuff on it that I would need repaired. And that list did not include cosmetics based upon the price, I told him I would replace the carpet and fix the broken counter top etc. They had to fix the water leaks also. Not sure if they will call me back.
what hidden damage was done by this water leak?

I found approximately a 6" damp spot just abaft and below the bedroom window and another, smaller damp area below that at floor level. Found the gasket to be pulled away from the window on the outside, rearward, so thinking that is where the water is coming in. Not certain though. I did not see any real water damage anywhere but suppose some wet pink stuff could be inside the wall, that's what DS uses.
