Good idea to sleep on it for a couple of days, no longer as excited as I was.
Got to thinking about all of your fine suggestions here and read between the lines relative to my conversation with the owner. I asked him if he had the service records and he stumbled a bit and said, "no, I threw them away". He never was specific about the service other than his friend did what had to be done. I checked the Cummins service schedule and it calls for a transmission oil and filter change at 48 months or 100k miles, they did neither as his "mechanic" said it did not need it. Hoses are original, when I asked the owner he said they just changed the belts. Brakes are original. Antifreeze was changed out once, four years ago, too long in my opinion. The roof AC and the engine alternator were replaced within the last year.
The previous owner also stated that the coach was left outside, in the snow, except for the first couple of years. Roof is patched and original.
I'm going to see it on Friday and IF I like it, possibly make an offer to include the price of roof replacement, engine and transmission service. Thinking in the neighborhood of $36K to include fuels topped off and tire replacement as needed.
