Pleasureway Exel TS

We use our couch/bed as a twin bed with each side 27" wide. We are looking for a mattress topper to relieve the ridges but haven't found anything so use except a self inflating air mattress. Anyone have a better solution?
  • We have the PW Excel TD and use memory foam toppers from Walmart, 1-1/2 inch thick. I had to cut them to fit our beds.
  • We do the same, cut the foam to size then sew a sheet to fit them so that you can take it off like a pillow case, roll them up and put a bungie cord around them for storage. They will fit behind the sofa back or behind the drivers seat. They make a big difference.

  • The xtra long, 2 in, twin size memory foam topper I ordered from Amazon on Monday, arrived today.

I have an electric couch (my last PW had twin couches, (which I prefer), and I'm planning on cutting the topper into two, maybe even three sections, for ease of storage. I'm thinking of "storage" as just using each section as an extra cushioning for the two livingroom seats and on one end of the couch, or something like that anyway. I'll make individual covers for each section.

I just don't like the idea of rolling / folding it up and having some big useless bulky space waster sitting back there when I'm not using it for the bed.
  • I've been thinking just this week about doing the same. Was debating which thickness foam and how much space it would take up in the daytime.

We just made a five-day spur of the moment getaway west to NC's Yadkin Valley wine country for a couple of special events at vineyards.

Reminded me that I always find the twin-bed cushions (with insert to make a king) a bit too hard for sleeping comfortably especially at the start of a trip until I get used to it. I guess the old bones aren't getting any younger.
  • In case you are not familiar with it, memory foam is easily cut with an electric kitchen knife. Do a search on Youtube and you get several videos that show some good techniques. I have used the electric knife in the past to cut two toppers for the twins in our Roadtrek (sold it earlier this year). I could't believe how well it worked.
