positive service review - big'uns southwest

http://www.bigunssw.com/

dropped off the coach for an overall check, lube, oil change, and generator oil change and was treated extremely well by the very professional staff.

Service was quick, thorough, and reasonably priced. As this is a new-to-us rig I left with instructions to perform the service and to go ahead and change out all the filters as I was unsure as to their last change... got called over by the tech to point out that the filter on the genny appeared brand new and he would still change it if I wanted it be done, but his recommendation was that it wasn't necessary. All points were lubed and they even tightened up a nut on the sway bar.

A positive overall experience and I'm very happy with the service I received and just wanted to pass it on for anyone that ever needed work done in the Tucson Area.

ps- they have a HECK of a paint booth too... but no full body paint for the ol' girl...

  • I've no clue how the tech would know it- but I did brief the history that I knew to them (RV was purchased from local dealer last April to private owner who then sold it to me in November) - I don't have the service records but according to the tech "the generator did not appear to have had many hours on it since its last service" - I didn't question this as I trust them to know their job better than I do and appreciated their candor.

I can understand a skeptical vision on the service is probably the wiser route, but I felt pretty good about the information that Nick was giving me and trusted (and still do) his expertise.

  • Big'Uns runs dirt track race cars at the Tucson track along with a few other close by states when the races demand that, and all their equipment is first class and clean. I have never been to their shop but from seeing how they treat their stuff I would not hesitate to give them a try.
  • He didn't say it "looked brand new"..he said it "appeared brand new", but he would change it if the OP wanted him to....geeze, you guys are looking for something when nothing's there.....JMHO.....I appreciate a tech that makes that kind of statement, rather than one that simply changes everything without so much as a peep...just pay your bill.....Dennis

I certainly agree with Scott on this. Where were the service records??
