I'm not doing it for either reason, Mowermech. I needed an older model RV because it takes at least 15 years for the toxins to outgas from the main materials. A newer one would be far too toxic! I stripped out the petroleum based linoleum and carpet and replaced it with strand bamboo. I replaced the cab carpet with organic wool. I've sealed all the other toxic hard surfaces and replaced all the window materials/curtains with organic cotton. Same with the bed. I'm remodeling it so it operates as a Medical Isolation Unit, and accommodates my disabilities. Mine is perfect for my needs. The investment is in health, not dollars. Its saving my life.
