Posted Message Not Posted

I think I am trying to reach the moderator...... I posted a message about 5 minutes ago and it did not post. Normally the message posts almost immediately but it has so far not posted. Is something wrong that it did not post?..... it was concerning a Jake Brake issue.

  • I use Firefox as my browser and if I get the timed out, I can hit my back arrow once - it will take me back to my typed but not posted comment. Then I go through and look for the symbol that shall not be typed and change it to "percent", then re-click submit. It will go through pretty much immediately at that point.

Thanks. Just tried that here with the symbol that shall not be typed, it timed out the same. If you can see this it means there is no delay till a post will work though.

  • I had that happen one time on a fairly lengthy post that I lost twice. After that I compose in Notepad or Word, then copy and paste
for anything other than a short post.
  • I have found not all replies post, but you will see it timeout if you wait as opposed to showing it listed after a couple of seconds. Once it has timed out once you will not be able to post to that thread for a period from hours to even a day or more, then it's normal . The only consistency I have noticed is it is more likely to happen the longer I spend typing the post (not being sarcastic, really). You can post to other threads, it doesn't not seem to be related to a general problem with RV.net
  • I have found that when the internet is busy, like on holidays, it takes longer for my posts on many sites to, and if they don't go through completely they are lost forever.

Did you click on 'Notify Moderator?'
  • Well this one obviously made it. The forums have been wonky the past day or so. Try it again.
