I would replace with the same model, so that the lines line up, and you don't end up needing to find and buy plastic water line fittings.
For what it is worth, I installed a much more expensive 4.5 GPM variable speed pump, and used flex lines from Home Depot to reduce the vibration. I also had to install a new relay, as my electroic pump controller was only rated at 7.5 amps, and the new pump can use as many as 10 amps.

Where is the controller relay normally located. Is it part if the pump or separate?
