Mine were double springs. And there were just two tabs where the springs attached welded to the landing plate. The plate would swivel. I think most of them are made this way.
I'd sure like to see a picture or two of your jacks and jack landing feet.
Any chance those landing pads are custom?
I have seen jacks with a multi-hole plate welded along the side of the jack used to bolt to various frames. So maybe your jacks are 'aftermarket'?
