Powering a dash cam

Our Ford E450 MH chassis has two 12V receptacles on the dash. I always assumed that the bottom (cigarette) receptacle was off when the ignition was off. That was an incorrect assumption.

I need a 12v plugin to power the dash cam that will turn off and on with the ignition. Any ideas??????? How does yours work?

    so what about the top receptacle? I had the opposite issue with my HIghlander. no always on receptacle. different fuses for dash and console outlets so I just jumpered to one from an always on fuse.
    my Tacoma only has outlets controlled by the switch.

    i just use plug in easy to control, wnem possible i use the KISS motto
