Pre purchase inspection in Mesa, AZ

We are almost at the final negotiation stage of purchasing a 2008 Itasca Ellipse 40FD in Mesa, AZ. I am hoping to get info regarding a good place/person to do a pre-purchase inspection. The dealer that has the rig on consignment is small and quite frankly I do not want the seller vouching for the condition of the rig-especially a consigned one. Additionally, if you own an Itasca/Winnebago of this vintage any pros or cons you have would be helpful as well. We do not want to fork over the money for new and we currently own a 2 yr. old 5th wheel. Here we are newbies all over again.
Thanks for any info, feedback, or additional info you may offer.

  • Be sure to get both house systems AND chassis checked out.

Many RV techs are not familiar with the chassis.
  • I used RV Smart also, he did a great job for me in Scottsdale.
  • I used http://www.rvsmartllc.com/ and he did a good job for me.
  • I think your smarter than you let on, getting an inspection is a wise thing to do. too easy for a sales person to say its great. how old are the tires, any log books on repairs ,,oil changes,, etc
