The e350 is geared a bit higher than the e450, which results in slightly better fuel mileage for the e350. And the e350 suspension isn't as harsh as the e450.
Combine that with the more aerodynamic front end of a B+, and it results in decent handling and mpg.
Of course, when it comes to mpg and handling, the Sprinter is king. But you pay a very high premium for the Sprinter when new, and then continuing paying a premium for service and repairs.
When it comes to floor plans, my wife and I have found a dinette is an absolute must. Not only is a good place to eat a meal, it also provides a place to work on our computers (we are both writers). And in the evening, it makes into a comfy bed (assuming you carry 4" memory foam pads with you.)
