Well,that is the benefit. My battery tray doesn't slide out, so to fill them meant first taking all the tops off, then trying to top them off without much room above them. The NAPA battery filler didn't work; it never filled properly so I used a small funnel and spilled water everywhere. Then I had to wedge my head in the space with a flashlight to check the level. Usually either under or over filling them.
Bottom line was it was such a pain I rarely did it.
Now I connect the hose to the pump, stick the hose into a gallon of distilled water, pump a half dozen times and I'm done. Plus, as stated, they don't evaporate off as much.
