Problem with hazard warning lights

You did not mention checking the front bulbs. On my trucks when one bulb goes out, they turn signal or hazard flashes faster. Do each side turn signals flash properly. It could be as simple as a bulb burned out. I do not know if the item you are talking about is the flasher or not but I know all the ones I ever replaced were pull and replace. You might simply take it out and take it to an auto parts store for replacement. I think they are less then $10 so it is not a big deal. If that does not fix it, you simply have a spare as elec parts are typically not returnable.
