propane tank removal

Hi from Denny and my wee blonde Ida, I just talked with the people we are going to store our class c motor home with and found out they want us to remove the propane tank before storage. I just wanted to see if any other storage places do this. thank you, Denny and my wee blonde Ida

  • Do not even think about removing the propane tank.
  • It would bother me that the operators don't know about motor homes. After all it is a part of what thee store..Part of their business.

What else is stored there that they do not have a clue about?
  • Show them the 'tank' and they will see that it isn't a portable 'cylinder'

Do they want you to remove the gas tank also :S
  • I'm with the others. I bet they don't realize it's a permanent mounted tank and designed for long term, safe storage.

  • My tank wont fit out the bottom without jacking the motorhome. Sounds like a lot of work just to store it.
  • Are you paying for the storage or is it friends?
What are your local options if you do not remove the tank(s)?
  • I've never heard of removing the tanks for storage. On your C, are they removable? What do they do for class As with built in tanks underneath?

  • Never heard of this on MH storage. Maybe they think you have removable tanks like a trailer. You don't want to remove the permanent tank from a MH, find someplace else to store your unit if this is a deal breaker. Do they also want you to remove the gas tank? Dick
