We stored our MH the first winter we had it in MI. As far as running it every month or so, what we did is put Stabil for storage in the gas. Run the engine and the generator to make sure the Stabil was thru the system. We winterized and then shut both the engine and house batteries off. When spring came, we turned the battery switch back on and it started right up. We should have removed the batteries for the winter though as we did have freeze damage to the house batteries. We did plan to replace them before taking off, so no big deal on that.
