Moisture coming out of the soil, grass, gravel, wood ,concrete, etc, is the big contributor to tire dry rot. Try to park where water cannot puddle around the tire and park on something plastic or even some galvanized metal. Stop the moisture from coming up around your tires. Covering helps with sun damage. Don't use tire dressings with petroleum distillates in them. Do keep them clean.
When you do your routine engine and generator run give thought to driving a few miles to warm up the tires and get those additives in the rubber circulating.
