PW Ascent?

Question

I know that Pleasure Way was making 144" wheelbase vehicles a couple years ago, but a local dealer states that they are getting Ascents fairly soon. Is this a glitch, or is PW making them again? The website has some sketchy info, but I'm not sure if it is for this year, or if they are waiting until the 2014 Sprinter chassis come out in September before they actually upfit these.

A couple months ago, I thought the 144" length was pretty much abandoned, except by a RT model and SMB, but apparently there is some market interest since PW is making one.

I'm not sure what exactly "sketchy" means. They are on the list of models again with info, plan and specs, and they are the first photo on the Home screen that features photos of all the models in profile. Yes, they are back. The Minneapolis Pleasure-way dealer has been advertising them.

I seem to remember that the Ascent was not on the site for a while. But, it is there now. We like rhe Ascent and have been keeping an eye on the site. One issue I have is that I believe the ones PW is offering are 2013s. Ther will be upgrades for 2014 and there may even be built-in cross-wind stability control in 2015. From what I hear they are already offering the cross-wind package in EMEA.

I noticed them on the PW website a month or so ago - I'd love to be able to directly compare an Ascent next to a PW Plateau.

Our feeling is that while I'd love to have the size of the Ascent - I suspect we'd like the space of the Plateau (especially considering the minimal cost difference).

I hope they sell a bunch of them - I'd like to see them on the used market in a few years. But I suspect they'll continue to be rare...
