Question about Forest River Forester - fresh water valve

Hi, Folks. I have a very model-specific question here. My wife and I have a new Forest River Forester 3171DS. The fresh water tank will not accept water into it from the hose, just spits it righ...

We have a Sunseeker Class C by Forest River and our water intake is at the back of the rig.
