I've never had a TT but Cs are terrible for storage. There's enough space behind our sink for a toaster and a small Mr. Coffee. We have a power strip on the dinette, too, mainly for computers. We only had DC power there and DH installed AC. I make the most of the ill-designed cabinets by using various sizes of plastic bins. We, too, removed the cabover mattress and use the space mainly for larger items we don't use much. We don't have any storage under the bed - it is all accessed from below, which isn't a lot of help.
