Apr 25, 2020Winnebago Navion owner here. We downsized to this unit to get rid of the toad. No regrets.
Like you, I have seen several Sprinter mohos towing Jeeps but I have no personal experience towing that much weight behind the Sprinter. I occasionally tow about 2,600 pounds and it handles the weight fine. Make no mistake, Sprinter mohos are slugs going up grades with or without a trailer or toad behind.
I have the propane genny but I can't tell you with certainty how much propane the genny consumes under load. I can tell you, however, I have never run out of propane. Diesel gennys are a $4,400 option offered by most makers. For me, the additional cost wasn't worth it. To my knowledge, the only maker that offers the diesel genny as a standard feature is Tiffin. It goes without saying the cost of the diesel genny is built into the base price of the unit.
