2000 Fleetwood Southwind exterior cabinet latches

Does anyone know how to remove the exterior basement cabinet latches? I've removed the handle mechanism but can't get the latch parts out of the door. The screws just keep turning. All of the cabinet...

Hey that's a pretty good idea too. So basically you're just cutting through the plastic panel revealing the catch mechanism? I assume the styrofoam core is already removed on the inside surrounding the latch. Is there a place where you order the parts from? Do you know of a good website?
