Best brake pad to handle the weight/heat? Hawk? EBC?

My pads are done and I don't like throwing mystery pads on there. (1997 Roadtrek Dodge b3500) I'd like to assume Roadtrek thought about the brakes before adding a ton of weight to this van. ...

I recently replaced my TV (F150) front pads and rotars with HAWK truck/RV pads. We just returned from a 5,500 mile trip to Yosemite and the HAWK pads were a big improvement over the stock pads. So I do disagree with those that say there is no diferance in stock brake pads and aftermarket units. This is not an exact answer to your question but it is my personal experience.
