Registering -your- RV in an state other then your home state is seriously frowned upon by most states. Example, Washington fines you twice the money you "saved".
If you don't like the tax structure in your home state, vote to change it (either at the ballot box, or with your feet)
$198 is nothing, less then setting up a LLC in Montana to "own" the rig.
