I used to work on a big (270ft) fishing boat. Kept hearing what
sounded like a light bulb rolling back and forth on concrete,
kind of a 'ting, ting, ting' sound. Searched through every cabinet
and under drawers. Turns out it was the cooling fan on the small
apartment sized refrigerator. The compressor is mounted on rubber
bushings and when the boat would roll the fan would hit the shroud.
