This was my father, he was a real Ham freak...LOL. Bless his soul, he is gone now. You two may have talked in the past.
He and his brother(Robert - don't know his call letters) started back in 1957 to keep in touch when the family went thier own way. Dad was in Seattle, Uncle Bob moved to Phoenix and they spent hours talking. Dad built this shack in the back yard...And man was he PROUD of this TOWER, when he finally got it!
Here are pictures of his Radio Shack he built and his "Rig". Half of it is Heath Kit, self built.
Just an FYI, and Thanks for bringing these nice memories back.......:)
P.S. I meant to mention, those HOURS were spent talking to people all over the world.....:B
