As a resident of Iowa, I can tell you there aren't many Montana tagged RV's. As I sit and think about it, I don't recall ever seeing one. Not saying it isn't done (for you east coast people - in terms of land mass Iowa is 26th) I just haven't seen it.
Our roads stink, and the only way they're getting fixed is by paying taxes to the State of Iowa. I live, work, and play here. I drive thousands of miles every year on our roads. I'll pay the tax, which by the way, is surprisingly low for our TT.
