I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. My sticker damage was behind sofa, and on right edge of kitchen wall. Here's what I did...
Behind the sofa, I got the self sticking wall paper runner that is used in the bedroom-bathroom. I ran it the length of the wall over the sofa, cutting it out around windows. You can't tell it wasn't put there on purpose from the factory, covers sticker marks, and actually looks great!
Kitchen wall, tough one. GIVE UP! just get a kitchen wall mount notepad, small picture, mini wall vase, pot holder mitten hook, or something you like and mount it over it. Any other way will make matters worse and drive you nuts! Trust me, the more you try to make it match, the bigger the spot is going to get.
