I recently had a similar problem. The engine would not start and the starter selinoid clicked and the check engine light was on as well as the ABS ADVISORY . The solution was one of the 12 volt engine batteries had a shorted cell. In my case I used a Stress Tester to find the bad battery. I replaced both engine batteries and the problem was solved.
