First of all, no change in atmospheric pressure or ambient temperature explains a 30 psig increase in tire pressure. Is it possible that you measured the 90 cold, and the 120 after the tire had been running for a while? If so you can put no confidence in what the tire pressure is. All inflation pressures must be measured cold.
