I don't have data - however, there's a HUGE subset of conversion B's stealthily doing their own conversions, to the point where people are driving halfway across the country to buy a van to convert because they want to start with something a little nicer than "basic work van". My own van came from an upfitter in Minnesota - there was nothing in Michigan at that time and even huge auctions like Manheim didn't have any used vans. Www.fordtransitUSAforum.com is just the tip of the iceberg. I have seen conversions that rival (or exceed) factory-built B's. The vast majority of the converters are not on RV.net.
