We bought both our Jeep and motorhome 8 years ago by sending out emails with our excact specifications to dealers across the country. As full-timers, we didn't care where we bought them but we bought both from the dealer that gave us the best price. We had already figured what the best price should be. It was a very easy way of purchasing those vehicles with no hassles. You don't have to go to that dealer for any repairs, etc. Any dealer throughout the country of that mfg. will do them and luckily we had only a few minor issues. We'd never think of buying an RV from Camping World though.
We are now considering a new towed vehicle in the Fall. We're checking out cars right now by going to dealers. In looking at the stickers on the windows we're seeing an "advertising fee"!! Why should consumers pay for their advertising? Naturally, we'll figure in that fee when we're ready to purchase and arrive at 'our' lowest price that they're going to have to meet!! We hate this whole process but you've gotta do it.
