I just went through this pricing a new unit from Safford RV in Va. They gave me a great deal, then proceeded to add $500 "doc" fee and $1500 PDI. I told my regular dealer this and he laughed and said it's typical of some dealerships. I mean PDI should be done before it even hits the lot. The funny thing was they would not come off the PDI and went so far as saying they wouldn't do the deal without it. This was after I told them I could get the same unit cheaper with no PDI. Whatever. I ended up going with another dealer who had no such fees. Crazy.
