I agree the prices you are mentioning seem quite high. While I have never used Speedco I have had good luck with the large Cummins truck service centers. Oil change on my C-12 (lots of oil) about $300.00. Allison 4000 series with transynd about the same maybe a touch more.
Those big service centers are typically neat, clean, reasonable, quick, and most often offer power for an overnight stay.
