Thanks, I have been keeping any eye out for a Lazy Daze, but so far I've only see a couple, both from the 80's, and both being sold for $14k+ despite their age, which seemed kind of high for a 30+ year old vehicle.
My understanding is that Lazy Daze have a much higher resale value, but in my area people tend to overvalue everything they own (probably due to one of the highest costs of living in the country), and expect to get prices that people in the rest of the country would laugh at.
EDIT: I actually did look into a Lazy Daze near me- 1982 22', 78k miles for $6500. But after reading on here that such an old model would likely = lots of $$$ in repairs, didn't seem like a good idea. If I had the mechanical know-how of my dad, it might make sense (especially since it's built on the same kind of van he drove and worked on for years), but alas, I do not. :(
