YES! That sounds exactly like what I'd like to do! Any idea what make/model, and what he encountered under the bed, and how he dealt with it? Did he build a bench/seat over the existing stationary equipment? Can you actually walk into the area without stepping up? I've searched the internet for an example of what I'm hoping to do, and am surprised to find nothing. I figured there'd be a Youtube video or something showing someone doing this.
Any add'l info would be very welcome!

It is an Itasca Spirit, very similar to my own unit. He chose it because of the superior
The only things under the bed were a storage bin and the Onan generator which was shot so he removed it and replaced it with a bumper mounted generator in a box which also carries some work stuff. In fact he actually ended up with more storage after the conversion. The entire floor is flat, there is no step up since the washroom is next to the bed.
