Recommendations for RV park near West World Scottsdale AZ

Thinking of attending the Barrett Jackson Auction in January at West World in Scottsdale AZ. Any suggestion on where to stay for a couple of days? 38' motor home with a tow vehicle. Thanks
Brian
  • There are also places to park your RV at West World where you pay zero and just boonedock. They have some very large parking areas and shuttle buses that will take you to the various tents to see all of the vehicles.
I have been there a couple of times and both times I was disappointed at the quality of most vehicles. If you pick up the Barret-Jackson auction catalog you will see that the vehicles look much better in the catalog than they do in person. There are some gems tho and their final bid price usually reflects that.
I had a VIP parking pass for Lot 1, right up close, only to find out that my RV could not drive down the road to use it. Ended up in another place and had to ride the shuttle bus.
  • X2 on Desert Shadows. We stayed there 5 days in November 2014. RV and Car hauler Trailer 62 ft. total length. We never unhooked the trailer. Full Hook up and easy access to Scottsdale and Surprise Az. Very helpful and pleasant Staff. Next time we are in the Phoenix area we will stay there again.
  • Westworld actually has four RV lots with about 200 sites. Most have 50amp and lots of room between the sites. Negatives are no sewer and only a few sites have shade. Price is right though. For a couple nights it won't hurt much. Fort McDowell casino is a bit out but their CG is nice. Reservations should be made now though as Westworld will be full. Each site in Lot G is 45X70. It's the closest and the only one within walking distance to the auction. Call (480) 312-6802, for the RV Office and reservations. About $25/night....Dennis
  • Brian, stay at Westworld they have an RV Park on site and if that is filled they have overflow out back very accommodating the only thing out back could be a little dusty, but your in the desert anyway. Scottsdale is not very accommodating for RV's. 3708
  • Try Fort McDowell RV Park in Fountain Hills or Desert Shadows RV Park in North Phoeinx near I-17 and the 101.

That's a busy time of year so make reservations soon....very soon.
