Hmmmm .... the 16 speed, V6, wrench equipped, short wheelbase, huge wheeled, lock-differentialed Jeep I once owned did pretty good way up in the High Sierras getting to lakes on camping trips that only backpackers usually could be found at. My current GMC 4X4 Z71 PU does pretty good, too, on the backside of Mt. Hamilton using the special offroad permit I hold to get to volunteer work where only the hiking public is normally allowed.
The Ford E450 is easily as tough and durable a chassis as most, if not all, of those under the pretty all-show but no-go too low to the ground Highway Queen RVs I see in certain photos - but the photos keep coming.
BTW, I wasn't near any potash in Death Valley - unless those sharp rocks were made of it. :h
I honestly cannot believe you, It seems you are on some sort of fantasy trip. Yes I have been to Death Valley and Furnace Creek, no way you can describe them as Off Road.
The Potash mining was a major industry there,you cannot miss it if you had been there
