On a previous RV, a TT, the Dometic died after a year and a half, but Dometic would not honor the warranty because we were not the original owner. Anyway, w took out the Dometic and replaced it with an Avanti residential (apartment size) refrigerator. It was a pretty easy swap. The Avanti was 2" wider than the original and about 6" taller. We removed the trim pieces, took off the paneling and inserted the new fridge. We then used the trim and paneling that we took off and retro-fitted the new one. It worked great until we sold the RV 3 years later.
